That's me with mommi and daddi last Sunday, the day I came back from the hospital.

The doctor said I had jaundice and I had to spend two days in the nursery for photo-light treatment, but doesn't daddi already do that for me? :(

The nurses were really nice to me but I still like home better!!

Despite being discharged from the hospital, I still have to be 'sun bath' to prevent my jundice from recurring. Mommi had to get up really early so that I get the first light. The whole process took about 30 minutes; and I'm usually asleep!

I finally came out and saw the light on Oct 17!!

I know it's been a week since then, but i've been too busy telling daddi and mommi that i don't like poo. I don't think they get it though.

But it's okay, i'll make sure i train them up well!!

I'm late...

and mommi is getting impatient! (So is everyone else i guess.)

Daddi and mommi's friends have been asking if i've arrived; and no! i'm still happily staying in mommi's uterus - playing peek-a-boo. :D

But this situation will not stay for long, Dr Chan will have me out in no time. ;)

my kawaii little car

Finally, mommi found a website where there are pictures of my little transport vehicle.

They had a lot of trouble finding one as it will not fit into their Mini. They looked at all the different brands - from Combi to Aprica to (I cannot remember whatelse); then they finally settled on a ZappQuinny.

Why? Only this one fits the Mini's boot!!And they love their Mini too much to give it up!

Daddi and Mommi settled on orange as it's nice and bright. Most importantly, it's unisex!
When folded, it fits nicely into the bag. (see picture)

The Maxi-Cosi car seat fits perfectly into the stroller. This will be the case until I'm old enough to use the stroller on its own. Until then, Daddi and Mommi have to transport me around in the Zapp and the car seat. They have to remove the car seat from the Mini and dock it onto the stroller and vice versa.

I have to be at least 1 year old before i can use the stroller without the car seat. Then i can see what's in front of me and not at the sky all the time! ;)


My vehicle has with a rain cover and sun canopy. It's weather-proof!

my library

Mommi bought a lot of books for me recently! She spent a lot of time in Kinokuniya selecting them; and i'm sure i'll enjoy being read to - when mommi and/or daddi reads them to me! :D

Chocolate! and weight

Mommi used to crave for dimsum and roast duck/pork. That's passe!

Her lastest craving is all things chocolaty!! ;)

She now has no appetite for any sort of food other than brownies, chocolate cakes, chocolate milk or any form of liquids. She has not been eating much lately too. With the exception of last night, when she had dinner at Buko Nero! Dinner was delicious and the dessert she had was absolutely divine!

The most surprising thing is despite all her chocolate intake - she has been losing weight and i've put on some. Now i'm weighing approximately 2.5kg and Dr Chan says i'm doing just fine. Wait till he hears about all these cocoa intake and her weight lost! I think he'll just flipped! :D

Mommi, i'm running out of space!

I can't swim freely any more, there's less fluid than i thought.

And there's a lot of resistance when i kick.

And something is squeezing me hard. It's like the kind of squeeze that you give me when i kick too hard, but everywhere instead of just my foot.

mommi, jingle & me

Jingle is my kai-ma's doggie; who's going to be my play-dog when i grow up! :)

He was very comfy in mommi's arms because mommi is like a -huge- 'cushion'; and that cushion is made up of fluid and me!! :D

On our way home after the session with jingle, mommi had a mild asthma relaspe. She's still allergic to animals' fur. So daddi has to shelve his plans to get a doggie, at least for now.

Oh yes! I've forgotten to mention that mommi has a big phobia for animals. Read more here.

Humpty Dumpty

In papa's words, "our little wonder has been growing steadily over the last seven-plus months. hang in there!"; and this little wonder is turning mommi into a humpty dumpty! :@

On a side note, mommi missed her footing while coming down the stairs one Sat afternoon before she was going out to have lunch with papa (Luckily papa was at the foot of the stairs, so her fall was not too bad). As a result, she twisted her right ankle and was home bound for a week. She went to see Grand-uncle Philippe, a bubbly Swiss, and got her ankle 'cracked' back into position.

Unfortunately, in that week when she was resting & nursing her ankle, she came down with a viral infection. She was more bothered by her viral flu than her twisted ankle.

Now that i've gotten bigger, it's getting harder for mommi to have restful sleep at night. And being a active baby, i stretch a fair bit and this is not helping things either!

But honestly, there really isn't enough space in here for me to stretch. *sob sob*

lazy sunday

Mommi lazed in bed till almost noon this afternoon. She was feeling tired from the frequent toilet visits through the night resulting in disrupted sleep. She woke up this morning feeling lethargic; and it did not help that her left calf was cramping up, and her right foot was hurting.

Daddi managed to entice her out of bed by offering to take her out for lunch. The carrot - ROAST DUCK & Tim sum!! :) - and it worked.

Lunch was at Lei Garden and it was yummy. This is what I had :-

From the kitchen

After lunch, we went to print some 8R photos; then did some grocery shopping. We ran into my yiyi at Bugis Junction. This is the first time Mommi saw her newphew who's 15 months old. His name is Austin; and is very shy. Small and skinny boy. Yiyi was complaining that Austin had been a naughty boy. He refused to eat his lunch and she threatened not to bring him out again!

Well, after the brief encounter with Yiyi; daddi brought us back to his work place. He had to launch some product today; so mommi and I tagged along. I hope he finishes fast as Mommi and I are getting hungry!! :D

hmm.. will i have roast duck again for dinner? ;)

FOS ?!

Mommi went for monthly check-up last thurs; and she put on another 1.5 kg! This is not due to excessive eating; but rather, she's suffering from this condition Dr Chan calls FOS - Full of Shit!

She has been constipating for the past week; and i have not been helping things. Due to all the stucked waste in her colon, she finds it really painful to do anything (eat/walk/sleep etc). Dr Chan wrote mommi a prescription for Fleet Enema & Suppository. Thankfully, after administering 2 rounds of suppository and 1 bottle of enema, mommi is much better now. Which means to say i'm feeling better too!!

Why?

Coz now, i have more space in here to move around!! ;)

what's in a name?

Now that i'm just 10 weeks shy of coming to this world; mommi and daddi are both trying to decide on a name for me; and mind you, this is just my English name! ;)

They'll be having another round of 'fun' when it comes to my chinese name.

I know mommi likes Joshua & Ethan; and Aunt Emilie had suggested to her Joshua Ethan Leong - which of course mommi is very pleased about! Mommi suggested this to daddi and he said the order should be Ethan Joshua Leong. *bah*

Mommi and daddi saved a list of names in her PDA phone. The list goes:-

Uncle Johnny

Mommi, daddi and me went back to gong gong's place this afternoon to help him with his printer.

As usual, mommi went about her usual habits - she went to kick uncle Johnny out of bed at 12noon!! I said hello to him and told him i was getting bigger. In his half asleep state, he asked back "why are you getting bigger Ethan?"

*blah* Where did he leave his brains ?!?

I told uncle Johnny if I'm not getting bigger, then it'll be worrying for everyone. I also told him that once I'm born, i'll sleep together with him and he can put Jacky away. We'll keep each other company at night; and he can change my nappies for me!!

*YEAH* won't that be nice? Uncle and nephew bonding time. :)

I'm sure he'll love the idea!!

mommy's grouchy

Yesterday was mother's day and i realized mommy was very grouchy!!! i think she had a very bad day; and did not enjoy it one bit.

After answering a call from uncle johnny to go celebrate the occasion; i think she totally cracked up. Poor mommy, i know she does not like the fact that the occasion has been 'over commercialized'. Imagine when she was reading papers to me in the weeks leading up to mother's day, there werer tonnes of adverts in the papers to promote their products - just for this occasion. BUT secretly, i think she dreads the thought of having to go through this with po po. I hope that i can bridge their relationship when i grow up.

But hey!! you don't have to wait till Mother's day to show mothers how much you appreciate them. When i grow up, i'll let mommy feel she's the most loved mommy!! :) and she'll always enjoy being one!! :D

And i promise, i'll always be a good boy!!
