Second honeymoon

So, we decided to leave E at home with the grands and take a long overdue holiday.

Initially, I decided we'll head to Korea; as I really wanted to visit. Ok, rather, I want to be in Korea to shop at all the yummy cosmetic stores. Think Laneige, The FaceShop etc. Alas, the husband will have a serious food issue in Korea; i.e. he doesn't eat Kimchi, tofu, Ginseng chicken, and the list goes on.

The other reason being, I don't want to risk him having food issues because i don't want to babysit a grouchy man. A hungry varfie WILL BE a grouchy varfie. Hence, Japan it is!

Our Itinerary - 9 indulging days of sightseeing and stuffing ourselves silly with delicious food! He is on a mission to make fatten me up!

This is what has been planned for. We'll find out at the end of the trip how much we deviated from the plan!

Nov 15 Day 1: SIngapore - Osaka - Kyoto
Nov 16 Day 2: Himeiji - Kobe
Nov 17 Day 3: Osaka - Kyoto (to eat and shop coz weatherman says it's going to rain)
Nov 18 Day 4: Nara & Kyoto
Nov 19 Day 5: Fushimi Inari walk & Kyoto
Nov 20 Day 6: Osaka - Tokyo (by Shinkansen)
Nov 21 Day 7: Tokyo
Nov 22 Day 8: Tokyo
Nov 23 Day 9: Tokyo - Singapore

To make this trip even sweeter, my father in law has very generously upgraded the both of us to Business class! Swweeet! :)

The most comforting and powerful 4 words from Ethan - I love you mommi.

Together with a hug, it takes away the day's strain and warms my heart.

No regrets for being a stay home mom. It's worth it.

First day of school!

As Ethan will be turning 4 this year, he's finally of the school-going age. We've enrolled him into a kindergarten near home, where he's attending nursery classes, only because it has a strong focus on Mandarin.

Arr.. it's 2009!

Mommy has not been good at updating my blog. But she'll try hard this year!

The most compelling reason for her to do so is for my kaofu's sake. He'll be based in the US this year. Updates on my blog allows him to know how i'm doing!
